Artworks demo “Nuno or Not”

Check out member Joei’s Blog “Art that’s Felt” as she blogs about getting ready for the Nuno or Not demo on Saturday at Artworks.  She has some awesome photos on her blog.

Diane is doing the “Not” and will be demonstrating a calla lily pin.

Joei will be doing the “Nuno” and demonstrating what Nuno is by showing the process, similar to what she is doing to make her quilt which she is also blogging about.

If you are in the area, it is worth a visit to see these two women demonstrate.

Only 5 people came to see the demonstration. Bill and Temple and I had a great time touring the town and seeing the Exhibit. Next week, Aug 15, Joei demonstrates NUNO felting. Please come and bring a friend to see our wonderful exhibit. Also stop in at FreeStones, right around the corner for a great meal and neat artwork.

We hope to post pictures of the show soon.

NEFG’s LARAC show a success!

The NorthEast Feltmakers Guild had its show What’s Out is In at the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council

in Glens Falls New York from January 23rd to March 7th.

The show was quite a success and there were several feltmakers that sold pieces.

The felting demo done by Linda Van Alystyne and Robin Blakney-rlson drew the largest crowd they have ever had at LARAC (except for a very will known watercolor artist)!  50 people showed up on a cold dark Thursday night.

The Lower Adirondack Arts Council caters to a wide range of arts, and offers programs to support artists on everything from grant writing to photographing your work.  The gallery has pretty well attended openings on a regular basis.   They are best known for a juried craft show every June held in City Park.
